Family Feud

Why did we love that show so much? I know, it was the zany host right! No it was probably because of the way the families acted as they worked together for the better of them all. Unfortunately in today’s world we rarely see families act this way. Seriously when was the last time you saw Aunt Martha jump up and down to cheer on her Cousins so much that she acted a fool. Or when all the family waited to hear what each other had to say, and no matter what the answer they said “Great Job”, even if they were unsure. Aah to see a family love one another, share with each other, and encourage like that is my greatest desire. Why must we protect ourselves from the ones that we should love the most? Do you remember who that person is before you argue with them? To that mother who Loved you even though you were a brat. The Sister who worked so hard to keep it all together the best way she knew how. The brother who struggled so much but still needed to be encouraged.

What could we do if we became like the family on “Family Feud” instead of being the family that feuds. The out comes for every member would be dealt with as a team. The struggles would only hold us down for a moment until a sibling, parent, cousin would lift us back up. Can this ever change, or will this be the way it always is. Not for my family. A generation has seen the way that is wrong for long enough. We want to be there for one another, and to share life together always, and encourage each other. Follow our lead and pray for one another un-selfishly, not to change the hearts of others but to change our heart toward one another. We aren’t simply put on this earth to maintain and be secure. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;  it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

We are a generation for change, Love one another, as Jesus has loved you, before wrong had even entered your heart. Even if it does not come back to you, it is Holy and Redeeming for you make the outcome with each breath you speak. What will you say today? Will you love?
